      Eleanor, Chester's wife renounced being administer in favor of John McClaran.  McClaran may have been a lawyer & because Chester had land in Sandycreek Twp. which was sold to pay his debts, etc.  Eleanor also petitioned the court to appoint a guardian for her two minor children on April 13, 1865.  The children are Sarah Melissa and Nancy Ann.  J.H. Borland was appointed guardian of both children in 1871.  At that time Sarah Melissa was over 14 years of age and Nancy Ann was under 14 years of age.  .......Death records indicate Eleanor Shiner died 25 Aug, 1871; will is dated 17 Aug 1870 and signed on 30 Sep 1870 by John C. DeWoody as executor, stating that Elenor Fury was deceased
She lived near her parents' home which was in Pearl, Venango Co. PA

“Will of Elenor Fury, deceased
Preamble to will of a person that is sick and weak.  In the name of God, I, Eleaner Fury of Sandy Township, being sick and understanding praised be God for it and considering uncertainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and to the I may be the beter prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in mannor following that is to say first and principally the land to be sold and to pay to the Shiner heirs that is coming to them out of it the balance to be paid equal to the three youngest Children the personal property to be sold and after the Expenses is paid and ten dollars is paid to Crafford Dewidy (DeWoody/NWE) the overflow if any to George Foard (Ford/NWE) Lis Shiner (Melissa/NWE) to have a bead and bead sted and her mothers silk dress and ashall (a shawl/NWE) and a quiltt that is partly preast  NANCY ANN SHINER alarge like quilt and a table cloth and the (..?../NWE) dress  the grain to be sold and I do apoint Crafford Dewidy and Samuel Hovis as Executors of my last will this 17 Day of August 1870
